Stand alongside schools across the globe advancing inclusion for all

What is a Unified Champion School?

Unified Champion Schools is revolutionizing the school experience by fostering environments of inclusion and acceptance for all students. Our program integrates three key pillars that work to create a culture where every student is valued and included.

Unified Champion Schools®

The Three Pillars

Schools become more inclusive when students with and without intellectual disabilities learn, lead, and play together through Whole School Engagement, Youth Leadership, and Unified Sports.

Whole School Engagement

School-wide activities that engage students and staff in creating a more inclusive and welcoming school culture. Examples may include inclusion campaigns, assemblies, awareness initiatives, and events that celebrate belonging and respect for all students.

Youth Leadership

Students with and without intellectual disabilities take on meaningful leadership roles within their schools through inclusive clubs, student councils, committees, and other student-led initiatives that promote inclusion and belonging.

Unified Sports

Inclusive sports and fitness opportunities that bring students with and without intellectual disabilities together as teammates. Examples include Unified P.E. classes, Unified Sports days, and school or community competitions.
