Lawn Bowling

Lawn bowling is a precision sport where players roll biased balls, called bowls, toward a smaller white ball, the jack, on a grass surface. The objective is to get your bowls as close to the jack as possible. It's a game of skill and strategy, played outdoors on meticulously maintained greens.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of gear and equipment do I need to have for practice?

Close-toed shoes (running shoes, etc that will not damage or disrupt the court surface)
Athletic clothing (pants, shorts, t-shirt, long sleeve)
Water bottle

Lawn Bowling Balls are provided at the program.

Do you need experience to participate in this sport?

No! All new and returning athletes are welcome to participate and compete in this sport. Below are some accommodation's that can be made to assist athletes if necessary:

What happens if there is inclement weather?

Weather cancellations are determined on the day of the program. If severe weather is forecasted during program time, the program will typically be cancelled (thunderstorms, heavy smoke, etc.)

If the program does go ahead (ex. light rain), dress for the weather! Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and check the forecast.
