17th Annual Red Deer Celebrity Breakfast
Special Olympics Red Deer’s 17th annual Celebrity Breakfast was held Tuesday June 24th at Westerner Park. Close to 250 guests enjoyed a delicious meal provided by Red Deer Catering and were entertained by guest speaker Rebecca Smith as she recounted her journey from training with the Catalina swim club in Red Deer to swimming for Canada at the Olympics in Tokyo and Paris. Other special guests included His Worship Mayor Ken Johnston, Sue Gilchrist, President and CEO of Special Olympics Alberta and Superintendent Holly Glassford of the Red Deer RCMP.
