Special Events and Administration - Edmonton
Special Olympics is
accepting applications for a full time permanent position in Special Events and
Administration in the Edmonton
office. Special Olympics is a charitable sport organization which provides sport
training and competitive opportunities to individuals with intellectual
disabilities. Currently, the Edmonton
area offers 35 sport programs with over 500 athletes participating throughout
the year.
This position will
be responsible for the following areas:
- Coordinating
and managing all special events and tournaments
- Implementation
of marketing strategies
- Coordinate
local involvement in national/provincial activities
- Develop
new partnerships for fund development and marketing
- Office
administration
The successful
candidate will possess the following:
- Post-secondary education in marketing,
business or related field is an asset.
- Experience with fundraising
events and volunteer committees.
- Experience with office
equipment, databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with providing
customer service
- Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills
and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
